Michael Xu (徐庆洋) is a senior lawyer in AllBright Law Offices’s Shanghai office (headquarter). He has been providing legal services for foreign-related matters for over 16 years. Before joining AllBright Law Offices, he worked for Cuatrecasas, a leading European law firm.
Michael provides legal services for both foreign and domestic companies in various industries such as automobile, packaging, healthcare, retailing, fashion, etc. He provides his clients pragmatic legal solutions with business insights. He works on mergers and acquisitions, due deligence investigations, transaction structurings, risk management and dispute resolutions, compliance, and so on. He often works in collaboration with legal experts from other jurisdictions as well as professionals from different industries.

- Advised an NYSE and ASX listed Australian packaging company on its business operations and disputes resolutions in China, on an annual basis; especially, on its acquiring of new facilities, R&D of the intelligent packaging system, its extensions of business presence, its negotiations with landlords, etc.;
- Advised a world-leading U.S. pharmaceutical enterprise on the relocation of its R&D center from Belgium to Shanghai; especially, on its handling of existing research/collaboration contracts, product manufacturing contracts, etc. and on the new package of business contracts under the new R&D center;
- Advised a NASDAQ listed TMT company on its overseas IP protection campaigns in collaboration with a few European law firms; on its litigations in the U.S. regarding Chinese legal professional opinions, in collaboration with a U.S. law firm;
- Advised a Spanish government assigned company on its dispute resolution (arbitration at SHIAC) against its suppliers in China;
- Advised a leading Spanish auto parts company on its dispute resolution (litigations involved) against its suppliers and the landlord in China;
- Advised a French power solution company on its joint venture projects with its manufacturing partners in China;
- Advised a renowned Italian coffee brand on its distribution projects in China;
- Advised a US medical device company on its daily operations across the APAC region;
- Advised a domestic green energy industrial group on acquisition of a leading American battery system company and on its joint venture project with a renowned automotive company;
- Advised a US cyberspace high-tech company on the legal risks of its businesses in China; especially on privacy and cybersecurity;
- Advised a renowned Japanese auto parts company on acquisition of several domestic auto parts manufacturing companies.
